It was a sunday (Aug3) When my dad had some tummy aches. He didn’t consider it would take long he took some medicines just to ease up the pain. He doesn’t want to go to the hospital thinking about the money that he’ll be using since his health card was not granted. The pain still stayed and no pain reliever released him from what he feels. I was planning to get a house doctor so that he would agree for a check up until Aug 5 a Tuesday nite, he showed up that he’s okay but we just felt he was just hiding it. Arnd 3am Wednesday morning he was experincing pain again and my mom woke up me to tell dad we need to rush him to the hospital but still he insist to stay at home. We we’re worried until arnd 7am dad agreed to take him now. While my brother drove him with me and mom he was just planning to take a clinic but i insist to.. and told my brother to rush him in the hospital I told him to take dad to the nearest hospital, The Medical City. I know even is expensive there but all i’m thinking that they would give him a clearer statement on what’s happening on him and since my dad is experincing pain we need to rush him more earlier. I believed that everything will help him because of their service. But i was WRONG. Medical city Doctors, staff, resident doctors didn’t diagnose my dad well. Resident doctors didn’t figure out what is my dad’s problem he had a lot of series of examinations not thinking what’s the real problem. All they knew is my dad need to be confine at that time. We waited for a room and had a hard time to get one for him we were the 18th patient waiting for a room until he got his room arnd 5pm in the afternoon. Sadly still he was laid down and gave him antibiotics but no one still bother to check whats the real problem, Actually the reason is the assigned Doctor for my dad showed up Late and it was and AUG 7 already.
AUGUST 7 My Dad had his stomach bloated. Still he was in a series of examinations went thru xrays, ultrasound etc.. Still, They cant explain what’s really the problem! Before anything else, a waiver form went thru us my mom need to sign it up just to start up the fucking test.. and its so stupid of them not even giving the proper treatment should be. My mom had a hint. she exactly told me it might be his appendix. His appendix might already exploaded Sadly even my mom told everyone there it might be his appendix no one would ever believed her. My mom was a registered nurse but not practicing now but I believed her and hoping nothing would happened bad. The surgeon shown up arnd 9pm in the evening and told us to decide if we need to ct scan him first or to have his stomach opened my dad agreed to have it CT scan first. Even he’s suffering from pain.
AUGUST 8 Dad was scheduled 9am for the Ct Scan and there you go the diagnose was his appendix. My dad had appendicitis and my mom was right. But still he was scheduled around 5pm for his operation. My dad was still patient. The operation took long. Suppose to be it would take 30 minutes to remove his appendix but he got 4 and a half hours for his surgery why? because he has his Appendix ruptured already. Just because of careless diagnose by the unhearted doctors. Aside from that he also needs to get rid of his gland bladder soon as he recovers from the surgery and my dad also is a diabetic that’s why Dad needs a proper diet from now on.
Now, My Dad until now is still in the hospital. He needs to stay there until he’s legally okay his body needs to be cleaned and to get rid the infection. Everything was set and done just because o their careless work all they knew is to get all of your money. My Dad is a great dad he’s so nice to everyone he’s always there for us or for everyone to lean on. I’m so sad, depressed, upset of what happened to my dad to that hospital. It’s so hard but still I’m thinking about my dad to recover. I hope he surpass all the pain that he went through. and for my family who needs to be strong too.
